There are 6 days until the concert. Unbelievable how quickly time has flown! I just returned from church where the Snohomish County Firefighters Pipes & Drums performed and HOLY COW – moved me to tears. These are real American heroes. In light of Memorial Day, I salute all veterans, those who have died on the battlefield, those who carry on in their absence, and of course, with respect to “Whisper” – all those who currently serve in uniform in fire and police departments everywhere. I SALUTE YOU.
We have a very exciting show coming up, and it is truly the biggest day of my life. I make no bones about the fact that the past 10 years of my life have indeed led to this day. Therefore I hope everyone can make it – we have some extremely special stuff in store, including a moving performance of “Whisper” for the heroes of 9/11 – it will be a tribute to the United 93 passengers and crew, the Port Authority workers, the emergency services personnel, the NYPD, volunteers, and of course the brave 343. Check it out – we hope to see you there…you truly do NOT want to miss this concert! This may very well be both my comeback performance as well as my last hurrah. I’m getting up there (I know, 37 is SO old…) so we wanted this CD and performance to be the best that it could possibly be, and I know we hit it with the CD, now we have the concert in store. I plan on giving my all, glorifying God in song and dance and incredible partnerships with hugely talented peeps. Can’t wait!
