This CD is going to rock. We’re currently working on a song called “Scarlet”, aptly titled after the scarlet letter and the condemnation we can feel brought on by our shame, whether projected by others or self-inflicted by ourselves. It’s a fast-paced track loaded to the gills with passion and sentiment. The end of the song brings closure and the reminder that Jesus creates all things new, and in Heaven, this condemnation by others and by ourselves will be no more. I’m thrilled at how it’s turned out. We also nailed down a song called “History”, that is about lamenting the past and restoring relationships. It has a gritty feel of angst to it, and it very powerful. With each new demo CD, I get to replace older scratch-tracks with newer, fuller, richer, more well-rounded (like myself!) versions that more accurately represent what I felt from the start, It’s truly a joy and an awesome privilege to see these songs evolve like this. We’re now anticipating a spring release, and I truly can’t wait to get there!
